Developed a core energy comparison algorithm designed to contrast a typical YourLand home against an average Melbourne household, utilising existing gas and grid electricity assumptions.
Interactive Web Implementation
Took over and completed the consumer facing web calculator after an incumbent vendor struggled. This involved integrating the model's complex logic while optimising the user experience, such as strategically placing the contact form right before the final price reveal.
Rigorous Refinement & Validation
Implemented dynamic inputs for household sizes (based on bedrooms) and house energy ratings (including NatHERS star bands). Ensured all current gas and electricity tariffs, supply charges, and NGER gas emission factors were fully updated.
Methodological Transparency
Clearly defined complex assumptions (e.g., solar hot water, heating Coefficient of Performance) and clarified terminology, removing unnecessary technical data to perfectly align the tool for its intended consumer facing purpose.
